Christel Dehaes
| Christel is an organizational psychologist and began her professional career in management consultancy. She then moved on to work as a coordinator and teacher in adult education. In 1989 Christel started working as an independent consultant in user interface design and technical documentation. In 1992 she co-founded Human Interface Group with Kris Vanstappen. | ![]() |
Over the years she has managed several large and long-term projects where documentation played an important role. She taught several companies in the graphical industry how to create usable documentation. She likes to dig into the HTML code, to research a new help format or help you define the best documentation mix for your software and your users. If she tells you the software planning is a bit too optimistic, you better believe her. But if she tells you the documentation will be ready in 3 weeks, you can also count on that.
Her background in psychology made her an obvious choice for the human resources management.
Christel is co-founder and president of the Belgian Chapter of the Society for Technical Communication (www.stc-belgium.org).
In what is left of her free time Christel partakes in folk dancing, babysitting on her little nieces and creating websites for her folk dance group and her nieces.
