Lore Nuyens

Lore studied Product Development in Antwerp. A very interesting aspect of these studies was the combination of design creativity and several sciences. Therefore, it was no surprise that she joined Human Interface Group, as she could apply her creativity to user documentation and user interface design.

In her spare time, Lore looks after her three children Bram, Ruth and Hanne. Once a week she goes crazy in the gym (somersaults included!). She also likes to go swimming, to cook or to help renovating the house with her husband Stef.

Expertise

Lore helped designing the touch screen interface and the accompanying software for the Philips Home Theater control panels. She wrote user manuals and quick start guides for several Philips and Marantz universal remote controls.
Lore has worked for a variety of other clients in consumer electronics and telecommunication, like fifthplay, Telenet, Mio, Dymo and Niko.

Furthermore, she assisted in the development of the user interface of Agfa-Gevaert's new scanning application. She was involved in several user interface design projects in the health care industry for PharmaPartners, UZ Leuven, Corilus and Materialise.

As a Project Manager she is in charge of the different usability services involved to design and develop technology in the most optimal and user friendly way, from the first idea of a new concept to the last letter in a User Guide.

As a lector, she also participates in the UX Design Certification Program.
